Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
What we do
- Every form field has a visible, programmatically associated label.
- Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.2 AA color-contrast requirements.
- Pages can be navigated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Pages use proper heading structure and landmarks so screen readers can navigate them.
- Interactive elements meet minimum target-size guidance.
- We run automated accessibility scans (axe / WAVE) on our public pages as part of regular quality checks.
Known limitations
Shareathon is in beta, and some areas — particularly signed-in organizer tools — are still being brought fully up to our target standard. We treat accessibility issues as bugs and prioritize fixing them.
Feedback and help
If you encounter any accessibility barrier on Shareathon, or need content in a different format, please tell us. We will respond and work with you to provide the information or complete the task you need.
- Email: hello@shareathon.com
- Signed-in users can also use the Report an issue option in the sidebar.
When you contact us, it helps if you can include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using.
Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate concerns to the U.S. Department of Justice or your state authority. We would always rather hear from you first so we can fix the problem quickly.
